An Awesome Season
Although rather late, the last egg to be laid so far was on the 1st December, bringing the total nests this season to 32.......we could not ask for anything better!
The rangers are busy checking eggs for fertility, of which we have a few unfertile. So these breeding birds have had a dummy egg put under them so that they are available to foster eggs/chicks if needed later in the season.

Wonderful........the numbers keep increasing, we currently have 50+ birds returned for the season! Fingers crossed the 'socialising' goes well and we have some successful breeding pairs!

Welcome Home!
Great News! Our first birds for the 2008/2009 season are beginning to arrive!
First home on the 15th September 2008 was KYO (Black/Yellow/Orange) a 12 year old female. Each successive south-west wind is bringing more birds home, with 3 more arriving just last night. This brings our current season total to 13 albatross.
